Financial Aid

Our financial aid program is designed to help make an Academy education accessible to qualified students who otherwise could not afford the cost of attendance. Financial aid is offered in the form of need-based grants, which do not need to be repaid. Where possible, the Financial Aid Committee does its best to meet 100% of a family’s demonstrated need.

  • Recipients of need-based financial aid: 32%
  • Average financial aid award: $26,778
  • Range of financial aid awards: $3,130-$42,480
  • Average income of families who receive financial aid: $152,521

*All figures are for the 2017-18 academic year.

The Academy does not currently offer merit-based grants or scholarships.

Assessing Need and Applying for Financial Aid

In order to determine eligibility for aid, the Academy relies on information provided by School and Student Services (SSS). Based on the financial information submitted, SSS provides an estimated amount that your family can contribute to educational expenses. This estimate considers your family’s income, assets, family size, and expenditures in addition to making allowances for necessities and taxes. The Academy uses the SSS recommendation to make fair and objective financial aid decisions.

Families interested in applying for financial aid should indicate this intent on the Preliminary Application and submit a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) to School & Student Services (SSS) by January 31. Academy families who currently receive aid are required to reapply by submitting a PFS by January 15.
